Hagerstown Police are investigating a robbery. It happened in the area of Jonathan and Church Streets Thursday night.

The victim told authorities that the suspect approached him from behind and took an undetermined amount of cash from his pocket. Police said the victim attempted to chase the suspect but he was unable to keep up with him.

The suspect is described as a black male, who appeared to be in his twenties, and was wearing a blue jacket.

The victim was not injured.
