Frederick County's Director of Internal Audit has announced his retirement. Richard Kaplan's last day on the job was Thursday, January 31st.
Kaplan had 35 years experience in auditing federal government programs before he was appointed to the County's Internal Audit agency in 2007.
The Commissioners named Kelly Hammond as acting director of Internal Audit. Hammond has worked in Internal Audit in numerous capacities for 23 years.
