Frederick and Hagerstown Police are investigating burglaries that could be related. Authorities say it happened on January 14th at the Rexel Electric Supply on Tilco Drive, in Frederick, and hours later at the same company in Hagerstown on Business Center Drive.
The suspect who was wearing all dark clothing and a hood covering his head made entry into the Frederick business and attempted to steal a spool of Romex copper wiring. Surveillance footage captured the suspect carrying what appeared to be a cardboard box, but he dropped it as he was exiting the business and fled the scene in a dark colored sedan, possibly a 1993-1999 Toyota Celica.
In the Hagerstown incident the subject can be seen on tape stealing 3 rolls of copper wire. The Washington County Sheriff's Office is also investigating a similar incident.
