Two Frederick Men Arrested On South Market Street Monday Night

They are charged with burglary, theft over $500, possession of controlled dangerous substances and destruction of property.

Two Frederick men were arrested at 100 South Market Street late Monday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., a Frederick police officer saw two men acting suspicious and went to talk to them.

Upon contact, police smelled marijuana on their clothes and drugs that Eric Joy and Christopher Trainor threw on the ground as the officer approached. The two were searched and drugs and numerous personal items were found on them.

After they were arre, an officer got a call saying Joy and Trainor were witnessed breaking into a nearby home earlier that evening and the items found on the suspects belonged to her. The items as well as the suspects were positively identified.

Joy and Trainor are charged with burglary, theft over $500, possession of controlled dangerous substances and destruction of property.
