The Sheriff's Office says the two had about 1 lb. of pot in their car.
Two New Jersey men were arrested Friday afternoon in Frederick County with a lot of money and pot. David Foulke, 22, of Egg Harbor City, and Dillon Hammond, 23, of Mays Landing, are both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.
They were stopped by Deputy Joshua Stears with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement Team (PACE) along eastbound Interstate 70 near Route 17 for following a vehicle too closely, and making an unsafe lane change.
Dfc. Stears says he detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car as he made contact with the driver. During a search of the vehicle, more than one pound of suspected pot was located, along with $58,800 in cash. Both were found in the trunk.
The two men were taken into custody, and transported to Central Booking for processing. The drugs and cash were seized as evidence and placed on property with the Sheriff's Office.
