Officials with Frederick County's Department of Solid Waste Management say the landfill on Reichs Ford Road will close at 12-noon on Wednesday due to inclement weather.  This includes administrative offices, the landfill itself, transfer station, yard waste collection area and the recycling drop off center.  Normal operations are expected to resume on Thursday, March 7th from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Curbside recycling service has been canceled, and there will be no recycling pickups on Wednesday.  All collections for the remainder of the week will shift from one date later than usual for pickup service.

In addition, the Frederick Board of Aldermen Workshop scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 has been canceled due to the snow.  The items on the agenda will be discussed at future workshops.
