Fatal Pedestrian Accident In Berkeley County, WV

The victim was hit by a pickup truck.

 

The investigation continues into a fatal pedestrian accident in Berkeley County, West Virginia on Thursday morning.

The Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the 800 block of Dominion Road in Gerradstown at around 8:38 AM, and learned that a man had been struck by a Ford F-150 pickup. He was a driver working for Apple Valley Waste when he got out of his vehicle and was hit by the pickup. The striking vehicle was traveling southbound.

The victim was taken to City Hospital in Martinsburg where he died.

Authorities say his name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

This accident remains under investigation by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and the West Virginia State Police.
