Two people from Maryland were arrested Friday after Frederick Police were dispatched to the Walmart on Monocacy Blvd. for a reported theft. When officers arrived, loss prevention staff told them that a blue van parked in the lot was associated with the suspect. Two people were seated inside. Officers ran a check on the tags and discovered that the van had been stolen. After making contact with the occupants and searching the vehicle numerous stolen license plates, suspected heroin and paraphernalia were found.

Tommy Ray Shelton, from Baltimore, and Brandi Rose Koetting, of Odenton, were both taken into custody.
