There was a chase after the robbery, with police purusing the suspect vehicle.
Frederick Police are looking for two individuals connected with the Wednesday afternoon robbery of the Sun Trust bank on Rosemont Avenue.
After the holdup, a Frederick officer saw a vehicle at West 7th Street and Route 15 which matched the description of the one believed to have been involved in the robbery. The officer tried to get the vehicle to stop, but the driver refused. The cop went after the vehicle, and was joined by the Maryland State Police, Sheriff's Office and the State Police helicopter.
The pursuit went through the city of Frederick and into the county. During that time, officers had to slow their speed due to congested roads, and a possible danger to other drivers and pedestrians. They lost the vehicle, but it was located by the State Police helicopter behind a business in the 100 block of South Market Street. It had been abandoned.
It's a white Honda Accord with Pennsylvania tags.
The suspect is still at large. He's described as a white male, medium height and weight with short dark hair. The other person in the vehicle was an African-American male, who police say is a person of interest in this case.
No one was injured during the robbery or the vehicle chase.
