Starting on Monday March 18th, the Motter Avenue bridge will be closed to pedestrians due to construction.

A temporary pedestrian bridge across Route 15 will remain open for two years while crews widen Motter Avenue. Barricades and signs will be placed across the sidewalk with arrows directing walkers to the pedestrian bridge.

The bridge construction is part of a $15 million project to improve saftey and traffic flow along Motter Avenue and Opossumtown Pike.

Bicyclists may also use the pedestrian bridge but they should dismount and wlak their bikes across.

The pedestrian bridge is 10 feet wide and has a chain link fence ceiling for saftey.
