Maryland State Police in Frederick are reminding the public, and motorists, to stay safe and not to drink and drive this holiday weekend.

Troopers will be out in full force, for the St. Patrick's Day weekend, in an effort to keep the highways safe and to reduce traffic crashes and fatalities.

Authorities say DUI and saturation patrols will be conducted throughout the county.
