The Marylarnd State Police have put the Snow Emergency Plan in affect in Frederick and Washington Counties. That means motorists who are heading out overnight should have snow tires, or chains on their vehicles. Studded tires can be used between November 1st to March 31st.
Motorists may not park on a Snow Emergency Route when a Snow Emergency Plan goes into affect.

The Snow Emergency Plan took affect at 5:30 PM on Monday.
