A fatal crash that happened Monday evening in Carroll county left a Westminster woman dead.

Around 6:45 p.m., Jill Bowers was driving westbound in the 2300 block of Uniontown Road when she began to drive off the roadway. She over corrected her Honda Accord, crossing the double yellow line and struck Kendyl Puckett's Mercury Mountaineer head on.

Bowers was trapped inside of her vehicle and died as a result of her injuries. Puckett and a juvenile passenger inside of Bower's car was transported to shock trauma with serious injuries.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office believes the weather was a factor in the accident and are still investigating the accident.
