Patty Hurwitz will receive the woman of excellence award.
The 9th Annual Leadership Alliance Dinner sponsored by the Frederick County Commission for Women will be happening on Thursday, March 28th to celebrate Women's History Month and to recognize two leaders in our community. The dinner is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Ceresville Mansion.
Patty Hurwitz will receive the woman of excellence award. She is honored for her work as the founder of the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Hurwitz has raised over $900,000 to aid in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer in our community.
Oakdale High School student, Vanessa Perez will be awarded the outstanding student leadership award. She has dedicated many hours to community service, mentoring and tutoring those in need.
