Volunteers are needed to sweep, pick up garbage, and complete other clean up tasks.
Volunteers are needed to join in the Second Annual Bring A Broom Saturday, on April 27th. The event is being sponsored by the Candlelight House Tour Committee of Celebrate Frederick, Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) 11, and The Downtown Frederick Partnership. "We actually encourage volunteers to bring a broom. There's a reason for the name. It helps us put on the event," said Kara Norman, Executive Director, Downtown Frederick Partnership.
Volunteers will sweep, mulch, clean up and plant flowers. "Bring a broom, a water bottle, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a visor and your friends and neighbors," continued Norman.
On the day of the event, register at the Partnership office (19 E Church St) between 8:30 and 9AM and receive your clean up assignment. Breakfast snacks, coffee and water will be available during registration. Clean up continues from 9 - 11AM. Free pizza courtesy of Brewer's Alley will be available to all Bring A Broom Saturday volunteers at the conclusion of the event.
