Police arrested a Finksburg man Tuesday after an investigation revealed he burglarized a home in Finksburg and may be responsible for others.
Gary Eugene Rucker, 27, of the 2800 block of Cedarhurst Road, is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
Rucker is charged with first-degree burglary and two counts of theft of less than $1,000.
Rucker stole jewelry, a laptop computer and two firearms from a home in the 3000 block of Murray Road March 31, according to a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office new release.
Police said Rucker entered the home through an unlocked door.
A search and seizure warrant was executed at a home where Rucker was located, on the same block the burglary occurred, after Rucker was identified as a possible suspect, according to the sheriff’s office.
During the execution of the warrant, the items stolen in the March 31 burglary were recovered along with items possibly stolen in other burglaries, police said.
