The family cat perished in the blaze.
Fire damaged a house in Carroll County on Wednesday afternoon.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal's office says shortly after 3:00 PM, 30 fire fighters responded to 274 Winterberry Lane in Westminster for a two-story, split level home on fire. They took almost an hour to bring the flames under control.
There were no human injuries, but the family cat perished. The owners were out of town at the time of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $200,000.
Investigators say the cause is accidental.
The fire started in the family room of the home, and was discovered by a neighbor who called 911.
