This one involves the sexual abuse of two minors.
A man serving prison time for sexually abusing a minor is facing additional charges. Frederick Police have charged Jose Manual Vasquez Hernandez, 30, with sexually abusing two minors between 2009 and 2010.
Authorities say they received word in January, 2013, regarding sexual abuse of minors, and Detective J. Holler was assigned as the lead investigator. He identified Vasquez Hernandez as the suspect. Police have charged him with two counts each of 3rd-degree sex offense, 4th-degree sex offense and 2nd-degree assault. Vasquez Hernandez is also charged with one count of sexual abuse of a minor, continuing course of conduct.
He was indicted on April 8th, 2013 by the Frederick County Grand Jury on these counts of sexual abuse a minor.
Vasquez Hernandez pleaded guilty to sex abuse of a minor in August 18th, 2011, and was sentenced to 25 years behind bars. 15 years of that was suspended.
He's currently incarcerated at the Maryland Correctional Institute in Hagerstown, where he was served with the arrest warrant for the most recent incidents of child sexual abuse.
