I-70 westbound at South Street and the ramp from Monocacy Boulevard were closed for hours when crews cleaned-up an accident.
Interstate 70 westbound was closed for hours at exit 55, South St., in Frederick due to an accident.
Maryland State Police say troopers responded to the crash shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, after a tractor trailer carrying fertilizer, over-turned on the ramp from Monocacy Blvd. to 70 westbound.
The driver and passenger in the truck were injured and taken by ambulance to Frederick Memorial Hospital.
The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at South Street re-open around 7:30 a.m.
The ramp from Monocacy Boulevard to westbound I-70 is still closed while the guardrail is being repaired.
