A Hagerstown man is accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl and physically abusing two boys ages 8 and 11, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court documents.
James Eugene Anderson III, 19, of 310 Jonathan St., was arraigned Friday by Magistrate Robert L. Lowe II on one felony count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of battery, according to court documents.
Anderson was being held Friday at Eastern Regional Jail on $250,000 bond, according to court and jail records.
The alleged assault and batteries both were reported to have occurred between March and May 6 of this year, according to court documents.
The girl told authorities she was enticed with desserts to perform oral sex on Anderson at different times, according to court documents.
The dessert items described by the child were recovered at the Berkeley County residence where the alleged sexual assault occurred, according to court documents.
The girl’s siblings told authorities that their sister confided with them that she had been abused, according to court documents.
The two boys told authorities that Anderson would choke them while he was at their residence in Berkeley County, according to court documents.
The boys alleged that Anderson often would choke them or use his full weight on them, causing air loss, to discipline or assert his authority, investigating Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. T.M. Snyder said in a complaint filed against Anderson.
