Free Clean Car Clinic Offered.
A Clean Car Clinic conducted by ASE-certified technicians from the University of Maryland will provide a free, 26 point vehicle inspection at the Frederick Senior Center on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 9.00am - 12.00 noon, in conjunction with exhibits and other resources to assure a safe travel experience for older adults.
Representatives from the Frederick City Police Department, Frederick County Sherriff’s office, Frederick County Fire and Rescue, Partners in Care and other agencies will be on hand to answer general questions and provide information on safe driving skills and classes, when it’s time to stop driving, alternatives to driving, child safety seat installation and pedestrian safety. Door prizes will be awarded hourly.
No repairs will be made during the free 15-minute Clean Car Clinic inspection, but each person will receive a detailed report to share with a mechanic on how efficiently the car is operating and suggestions for improvement. Drivers will also learn the top ten ways to save at the gas pump.
