The former president of the Whittier Elementary School PTA has been charged with theft scheme between $10,000 and $100,000. Frederick Police on Wednesday served a criminal summons to Amy Christine Baker, 44, of Frederick.
In October, 2012, authorities received a complaint about funds missing from the school's PTA account. A detective assigned to the case found that multiple checks had been issued and cashed with forged signatures.
Police say the total theft from the PTA account was more than $10,000.
Authorities list Baker's residence as 2400 block of Lakeside Drive, Frederick.
