A State Tooper assigned to the Frederick Barrack was flown to Shock Trauma Wednesday morning following a crash with his cruiser.
State Police say Trooper Class Michael Taluskie was doing speed enforcement along Route 75, near New London Road. He was traveling in his vehicle when he noticed a speed limit violation, authorities said. Taluskie slowed his cruiser, drove on to the right shoulder and activated his emergency equipment. As he was making a u-turn, a Kia traveling behind him hit Trooper Taluskie's car on the driver's side, said investigators. Taluskie was medivaced with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the striking vehicle was Michael Hobbs, of Frederick. He was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
