A 36 year old Frederick man will relocate to the big house. "Dearil Green was sentenced to serve five years in prison Wednesday for illegal possession of a regulated firearm," said Charles Smith, Frederick County States Attorney. "This stemmed out of an incident that happened back in December of last year, when Frederick Police stopped a vehicle on West All Saints Street. Officers received information that Green was inside the vehicle with a gun, and when officers approached, Green jumped out and ran. Fortunately, he was quickly apprehended a few blocks away, and they found a loaded 357 revolver on him. That's not good when you're a prior felon," continued Smith.
"He received the maximum sentence at the State's request, and he will not be eligible for parole, and that's a good thing."
