The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 10:00 p.m. this evening.
Low pressure and its associated cold front will likely trigger showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms will be cabable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rainfall that could lead to isolated flash flooding. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out in the stronger storms, especially across Maryland.
The following counties in Maryland are in the tornado watch: Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, Prince Georges, Carroll, Frederick, Washington, Harford, Baltimore, Calvert, Charles and St. Marys.
In Virginia the watch includes Arlington, Fairfax and Loudon.
