Two seperate incidents occurred in Thurmont area.
Officials with the Frederick County Health Department say two foxes from the Thurmont area have tested positive for rabies. "We had two separate incidents," said George Keller, Director for the Frederick County Health Department's Environmental Health Services Division. "On July 4, 2013, a fox attacked a man between Thurmont and Graceham. The second incident involved an infected fox that got into an altercation with some dogs," continued Keller. That incident took place on July 8, 2013, on Meadow Lane, in Thurmont.
These foxes are the 25th and 26th animals from Frederick County that have tested positive for rabies, so far, this year, he said.
