She was a passenger in a car traveling along I-70.
A Cumberland woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Washington County Thursday afternoon.
State Police say Brenda Dailey Adams, 50, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling along Interstate 70 near Saint Paul Road in Clear Spring. The driver identified as Raymond Butts, 39, of Cumberland was driving partially on the left shoulder of eastbound I-70 when a tire blew out. That caused the car to cross the roadway, strike a guardrail and overturn.
Adams was a front seat passenger who was ejected through the rear of the vehicle and on to the highway.
Butts was taken to Mertius Medical Center in Hagerstown. Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.
