This moves each case to Circuirt Court for trial.
A Frederick man suspected of several burglaries was one of five people indicted Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury. Christopher Allan Bryant, 24, is charged with 1st-degree burglary, theft between $1,000 to $10,000, eight counts of illegal possession of a firearm, three counts of the theft and sale of a regulated firearm, unlawful sale or transfer of a regulated firearm, four counts of theft under $1,000, two counts of violation of a protective order, eight counts of final violation of a protective order and theft scheme between $1,000 and $10,000.
Bryant was arrested in May for a burglarizing a home.
In a case which State's Attorney Charlie Smith calls "very disturbing," a Littlestown, Pennsylvania man was indicted for child sexual abuse. Kevin Alan Boone, 33, is charged with two counts each of sex abuse of a minor, continuing course of conduct, and sex abuse of a minor. Smith says that's for two different victims. "Stemming back from 2002 with one victim, 2007 with the other," he says.
A Thurmont man was charged with several drug offenses by the Grand Jury. Julio Valcarcel, 19, was indicted Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, Ecstasy) and Ketamine, possession with intent to distribute MDMA, possession of ketamine and possession of paraphernalia. The offense occurred on August 2nd, 2013
Two men were also charged with burglary in different incidents. David Joshua Nash, 37, of Middletown, was indicted by the Grand Jury for 1st and 2nd-degree burglary, two counts of 4th-degree burglary and theft less than $1,000. The offense occured on June 11th, 2013. Donald Leroy Stone, 49, is charged with 1st-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary, theft between $1,000 and $10,000, and malicious destruction of property less than $50. That offense took place on July 15th, 2013.
Smith says all of these cases will be sent to Circuit Court, and trials could be held within 180 days.
