Two people treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, then taken to FMH.
Fort Detrick and Frederick fire fighters were dispatched to a building fire on post Wednesday afternoon.
The County's Emergency Communications Center says the call went out shortly before 2:00 PM to 1774 Ditto Avenue, which is the location for the new facility for the US Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases which is under construction.
"We received a call that there was a call at a construction site, not at an active lab," says Detrick spokesman Nick Minecci. "Two personnel were injured through smoke inhalation. They were treated on the ground."
Since that statement was issued, a Fort Detrick official says the two were taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening, smoke inhalation.
Fire fighters put out the flames, and ventilated the building, according to reports on the police and fire scanner.
