A young boy fell from a cliff at Sugarloaf Mountain in Frederick County Thursday afternoon. "We got the call around 1:00 p.m.," said Denise Pouget, Frederick County Fire Chief. "The ten year old was walking with some family members when he fell. His father went down to help and he was injured too," she said. "He fell 30 feet. They both sustained bumps, bruises and broken bones, I don't know exactly where," she continued.
Both victims are in stable condition. The child was flown by Trooper 3 to Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. The father is being treated at Washington Hospital Center.
It took rescuers 2 hours to hoist the victims to an area where they could be flown out.
