Witnesses say she was driving recklessly prior to the accident, and appeared to be using her cell phone.
Maryland State Police in Hagerstown say a Washington County woman was killed in a single vehicle accident on Interstate-70 eastbound near Exit 28 on Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators say the accident happened around 5:00 pm, when 33 year-old Jessica Nave of Keedysville was driving a BMW convertible and lost control. Her vehicle left the roadway, hit several trees, and over-turned. Nave was ejected and police say she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Officials say Nave was taken to Meritus Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Police are continuing their investigation and say witnesses have told them, Nave was driving recklessly prior to the accident, and appeared to be using her cell phone.
