Could cause traffic problems along I-81 and 270.
No one knows for sure if it will happen, but Maryland State Police say they are ready for thousands of truckers from across the country who have made threats to bring traffic to a standstill on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway. "The Maryland State Police are aware of the truckers desire to demonstrate," said Sgt. Marc Black. "We are prepared to handle any incident that may occur and keep the highways clear," continued Black.
The group called 'Truckers For The Constitution', is supposed to gather and leave from Gilbarton, Pennsylvania around 7:00 a.m. Friday morning, according to Central Alarm, Gilbarton, Pa. This could possibly mean traffic problems along I-81 and 270.
"Motorists should operate their vehicles with common sense," said Sgt. Black. "Most people operate their vehicles in a safe manner, and if there are any problems just contact your local police department," he said.
The demonstrators listed on their website that they were frustrated with Members of Congress.
