One was medivaced to Shock Trauma.
Two people were taken to area hospitals following a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on westbound Interstate 70 west of Route 75.
State Police say troopers responded to the scene at around 12:13 AM. They say a Nissan Sentra driven by Marshall Dokes, 24, of Winchester, Virginia, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Dokes was taken to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. A passenger in the vehicle, Marlena Maddox, also of Winchester, was medivaced to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Troopers say it looks like speed was contributing factor in this crash.
State Police accident reconstructionists responded to the scene to help with the investigation.
I-70 was closed for a period of time to allow the State Police Medivac Helicopter to land and take off.
