A Hagerstown Police officer arrested a suspect in a robbery shortly after it happened. Corey Anthony Dunbar, 42, of Hagerstown is charged with armed robbery, theft, 1st and 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment and handgun offenses.

Authorities say an individual entered Wayne's Country Store at 1020 West Washington Street in Hagerstown shortly before 7:00 AM on Wednesday. He produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officer Jesse Duffey was in the area at the time, and saw the suspect leave the store. As the cop was preparing to detain him, Officer Duffey learned that Wayne's Country Store had just been robbed.    He  quickly took Dunbar into custody as he was getting ready to hail a cab.

No one was injured in this incident.
