The victim said the suspect grabbed her.

Frederick Police are investigating an attempted abduction.

Authorities said around 9:00 a.m. this morning, officers responded to 151 South East Street after a lady said a man attempted to grab her.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect approached the female victim after she got out of her car. Police said the suspect grabbed her arm and made motion, as if to open the passenger door of his vehicle. The victim pulled away from the suspect and ran towards an occupied building. The suspect then fled the area in what is believed to be a light colored, gold or tan older model sedan, possibly a 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla. Police said there were some distinguishing features on the car. Three fender vents or louvers and the absence of hubcaps.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his mid twenties to early thirties, and was wearing blue jeans, a black or dark blue sweatshirt, and dark colored shoes.
