Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police arrested a local man on heroin possession and distribution charges. Mark Sterling Hall, 29, is charged with three counts of distribution of heroin, four counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin and four counts of possession of heroin. Authorities say the investigation is continuing and additional charges could be filed.
Hall was taken into custody following a search and seizure operation at his home in the 100 block of East 4th Street on Thursday afternoon. Officers confiscated large quantities of suspected heroin, cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, paraphernalia and cash.
Authorities say Thurmont Police contacted the Frederick Police Drug Enforcement Unit in January regarding an individual who was operating out of Frederick, but supplying drugs to both communities. The two agencies began a joint investigation which resulted in several controlled “buys.”
Frederick Police were assisted in the search and seizure operation by the Sheriff’s Office and the US Department of Homeland Security’s Investigations.
