19 Roads In Frederick County Closed

Most due to high water.

 


Frederick, Md (KM). 19  roads in Frederick County are closed due to high water from the overnight rain. The Office of Highway Operations lists these roads as closed:

 

Four Points Bridge Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at creek, road flooded

Keysville Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at Toms Creek, road flooded

Simmons Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS, at creek, road flooded

Creamery Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS, at the bridge, road flooded

7009 Blacks Mill Rd CLOSED to all traffic NO EMS , road flooded

Wilhide Rd CLOSED at Little Owens Creek to all traffic, NO EMS, road flooded

Old Mill Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at owens creek, road flooded

Grimes Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at Toms Creek, road flooded

Sixes Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at Toms Creek, road flooded

Runkles Drive Closed at Moline Court.

Friends Creek Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at the low water bridge, road flooded

Hoovers Mill Rd CLOSED to all traffic, NO EMS at owens creek, road flooded

Frushour Rd CLOSED to all traffic NO EMS at hoovers mill rd, road flooded

 

Shortly after 1:00 PM, fire and rescue crews successfully rescued an individual who was trapped in vehicle in the water at Loys Station Park.

Highway officials remind you not to try and cross a road covered by water. They say “turn around, don’t drown.”

Officials in the City of Frederick say all sports fields are closed Friday, May 5th due to wet field conditions and predicted storms for this evening. When all sports are closed, that includes City school sports fields. No one is permitted to use the fields when they are closed. Violators could face penalties.
