Early Morning Accident Turns Deadly On I-70

The victim was ejected from the vehicle

New Market, Md. (DG) – A Washington County man was killed early Monday morning in an accident in New Market, Maryland.

Maryland State Police responded to Interstate 70 westbound after Route 75 at around 4:45 a.m. for an accident.

When troopers arrived, they found a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer overturned on the right shoulder. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was fully ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver was identified as Scot Anthony Harris from Hagerstown, Maryland.

The accident is still under investigation.
