Man Who Threatened To Kill With Machete Among Eighteen Indicted By Frederick County Grand Jury

These cases now move to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

Frederick, Md. (NS) – The Frederick County Grand Jury returned eighteen indictments on Friday including one against Dominic Valenti, who is charged with two counts of manufacturing and possessing a destructive device, along with home invasion, 3rd degree burglary, 1st degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

At around 5:30 a.m. on August 7, Brunswick Police responded to the 100 block of West C Street for a break-in. Investigators said Valenti was inside the home and threatened to kill one of the family members by holding a machete to the victim’s throat.

Police arrested Valenti and called in the bomb squad as possible improvised explosive devices were found on the property. Bomb technicians rendered the devices safe.

  • Marcus McRae, 22, of Baltimore, on charges including distribution of a controlled substance on school property, possession with intent to distribute, and illegal possession of ammunition. The 22-year-old was arrested on August 10 by Frederick City Police on 12 drug charges. After officials conducted an undercover investigation into McRae beginning in July, and determined that he was selling powered and crack cocaine throughout Frederick County, Officers served a search warrant at the 1800 block of Greenspring Place and McRae was arrested.

The indictments move these cases to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are not charging documents, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
