Man Killed In Pedestrian Collision Monday Night In Montgomery County

Police are investigating.Silver Spring, Md (KM) The Investigation continues into a fatal pedestrian collision in Silver Spring Monday night.Montgomery County Police say just after 8:00 PM, officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the 9500 block of Georgia Avenue near Flora Lane for the collision. They say the driver of a gray Honda CR-V was traveling northbound on Georgia Avenue when the vehicle struck a man. The victim was pronouned dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.;There were some reports that a second vehicle may have struck the pedestrian, but that was proven to be unfounded.The victim’s name will be released after proper notifications have been made, authorities say. .Police ask anyone who has information on this pedestrian fatality to contact the Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.By Kevin McManus
