Learning for Life courses being offered.FREDERICK, MD. ( LG) Now in its 40th year, The Frederick School of Religion has released their annual schedule for the upcoming Learning for Life classes.The first day of classes will be held on April 8th, 2024 . “It’s a series of six weeks of classes. So, each course, of which there are 8 to choose from, last for six weeks, on Mondays or Tuesdays ,” says Gerry Blessing, Secretary of Brooke Hill United Methodist Church.Learning for Life Courses include:The Archaeology of the Hebrew BibleRenewing the Dance of MysticismA Life of Prayer: Growing in Intimacy with GodThe Apostolic Age and the Formation of a Christian IdentityComposers In Their TimeWhat Jews BelieveThe Spiritual Practice of Doubt: What Religion Can Learn from History’s Most Famous AtheistsLet’s Go to the Movies! Finding Spiritual Meaning in Contemporary Popular FilmsWhat the Bible Says about Social JusticeThe Frederick School of Religion maintains a low registration fee so that cost does not prevent interested persons from attending. “And the amount of $35 is paced to just a fraction of the overall cost, so we ask for contributions ,if you are able to make them”, continued Blessing.Registration is required.
