Stuff The Bus Campaign Underway In Frederick County

It provides necessary school supplies for the upcoming academic year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The annual Stuff the Bus campaign is underway in Frederick County. The School System says the goal is to collect donations of school supplies for students for the upcoming academic year.

The items needed most are sturdy backpacks, composition books, loose leaf paper, pocket folders, glue sticks, rulers, safety scissors, pens and pencils. Other necessary supplies include highlighters, dry erase markers, earbuds, pencil sharpeners,. crayons and boxes of tissues.

Citizens can drop off these items at the School System headquarters at 191 South East Street, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. They can also take them to the the United Way of Frederick County at the Bernard Brown Community Center at 629 North Market Street in Frederick; and other locations such as Frederick Health, Literacy Council of Frederick County, Texas Roadhouse and numerous banks and credit unions.

Stuff the Bus began in June and will run through August 4th.. . After that, school buses will deliver these supplies to various schools around the county for distribution to students who need them.

The School System says last year, hundreds of bins of supplies were collected and distributed to over 3,500 students.
