Order a pizza on Oct. 8 and get a surprise delivery—plus a fire safety check from local firefighters.
Frederick, MD (JK) – Frederick Domino’s is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services to make Fire Prevention Week, October 5–11, both fun and educational.
On Wednesday, October 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., lucky customers who place a pizza order may get a fire engine delivery. Homes with working smoke alarms will get their pizza for free, while firefighters will replace or install alarms for those that aren’t functioning.
This year’s theme, “Charge Into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” highlights safe use of batteries. Frederick Domino’s will also include fire safety tips on pizza boxes, covering how to safely buy, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries.
Fire Chief Tom Coe emphasizes that functioning smoke alarms save lives, giving families crucial time to escape during a fire. Domino’s franchisee Ed Treacy adds that the program rewards safety-conscious customers while raising awareness across the community.
Call Frederick Domino’s at 301-750-7600 to place your order and join the fire safety fun.
