Damage is estimated at $7,000
Sykesville, MD> (DG) – Discarded smoking materials cost $7000 worth of damage to a home in Sykesville over the weekend.
Firefighters in Carroll County responded to a house fire on Braemer Court shortly after 8 AM on Saturday morning.
Authorities say the homeowner woke up and found a wicker table on fire on his rear sunporch. He was able to put the flames out before fire personnel arrived.
The fire was contained to the porch.
