DC Police Positively Identity Body Found Last Month As A Frederick County Teenager

He was located in a wooded area near the Potomac River.

Washington DC (KM) Police in Washington DC have positively identified a body found last month as that of a Frederick County teenager.

Eberson Guerra-Sanchez, 16, was a freshman at Turscarora High School. He was reported missing on April 26th. Guerra-Sanchez was found the next day in a wooded area off of Canal Road in Northwest DC near the Potomac River. Investigators say the victim had suffered from sharp force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although the principal of Tuscarora High sent a letter in April to parents statingĀ  that Guerra-Sanchez’s body had been found in Washington DC, the Metropolitan Police Department said the condition of the body made it difficult to determine its identity. But as of Friday, May 17th, authorities confirm the remains are those of Guerra-Sanchez.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone with information which leads to an arrest and conviction in this homicide case. They can call MPD at 202-727-9099, or send a text to the Department’s TEXT TIP Line at 50411.
