Garbage Truck In Washington County Catches Fire Accidentally

Nobody was injured.

Hagerstown, Md. (BW)- A Mack Trash Truck accidentally caught fire around 5:41 a.m. in Hagerstown on Monday, July 24.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the fire was accidental, caused by contents in the trash.

Firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Company of Halfway responded to 11408 Stotler Road for the vehicle fire.

Eight firefighters put out the blaze in 10 minutes.

The estimated damage is valued at 100-thousand dollars.
