Crash In Washington County Kills Two Women

Accident happened at Jefferson Blvd. and Twin Springs Drive

Hagerstown, Md. (DG) – A crash early this morning killed two women in Washington County.

At 12:15 a.m., Maryland State Police responded to a serious collision in the area of Jefferson Boulevard and Twin Springs Drive. The first arriving Trooper found a Toyota Corolla and Kia Sportage badly damaged with the occupants still inside.

The driver of the Toyota, 20 year old Danielle Holiday from Davis, California, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia, 74 year old Nancy Keller from Smithsburg, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The front seat passenger in the Kia, 31 year old Jacob Keller 3rd from Smithsburg, was injured and transported to Meritus Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Holiday was traveling West on Jefferson Boulevard approaching Twin Springs Drive when her vehicle struck the guardrail on the westbound shoulder. The Toyota then traveled back across Jefferson Boulevard and collided with the Kia which was traveling eastbound.

This investigation is ongoing, police are asking any witnesses to call 301-766-3800.
