Blake Nivens faces drugs and weapons charges.
Frederick, Md. (NS) – Ten indictments were returned today by the Frederick County Grand Jury, including one against Blake Nivens, from Frederick, who was arrested in early April for the 2nd time in a month on weapons and drugs charges.
At around 1 pm on April 6, Sheriff’s Deputies, as well as SWAT and the Frederick Police Drug Enforcement Unit served a search and seizure warrant in the 400 block of Prospect Boulevard and arrested Nivens, 25, on 14 drug and weapons offenses. Police seized over 500 Fentanyl pills, cocaine, Oxycodone pills, marijuana, a loaded handgun, an AR style pistol, drug packaging items and almost $3,300. Nivens was also arrested on March 9 where police seized 14 pounds of marijuana, Alprazolam pills, mushrooms, cocaine, a handgun, and $14,000.
He is charged with possession with intent to distribute Cocaine; possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; possession of cocaine; possession of Oxycodone; possession of Amphetamine; possession of Dextroamphetamine; possession of Methylphenidate; possession of Alprazolam; possession of 10gm or more of marijuana; firearm drug trafficking crime-Beretta 92FS; firearm possession with crime of violence/felony conviction-Beretta 92FS; firearm possession with crime of violence/felony conviction-AR style pistol; rifle/shotgun unregistered; ill poss ammo
Nivens has also been indicted for the incident on March 9. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute Psilocyn; possession Psilocyin; fake CDS/PWID-Alprazolam; possession-3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
He is being held without bond.
Other indictments returned by the Grand Jury include:
- Titus Diggs Jr., 20, of Martinsburg, Wv, who is charged with armed robbery; robbery; 2nd degree assault; theft between $100 and $1,500
- Kristen Fritch, 34, of Stephens City, Va, who is charged with possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute cocaine; Possession of Fentanyl; Possession of Cocaine; driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol; driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance; driving under the influence-3rd violation
- Justin Thrasher, 24, of Cumberland, who is charged with firearm use-felony or violent crime; firearm drug trafficking crime; CDS: dist, etc. w/firearm;possession with intent to distribute Heroin; possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; distribution/possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl/Heroin mix; possession of large amount of Heroin; possession of large amount of Fentanyl; possession of Heroin; possession of Fentanyl; possession of Cocaine; 2 counts of loaded handgun in vehicle
- Jonathan Imes, 45, of Frederick, who is charged with 1st degree assault; 2nd degree assault; reckless endangerment
- William Williams, 35, of Frederick, is charged with 1st degree assault; 2 counts of 2nd degree assault; theft $100 to under $1500; robbery; obstruction
- Melida Mattern, 51, of Frederick, is charged with 2nd degree child abuse-custodian; 2nd degree assault
- Curtis Weller, 52, of Martinsburg, Wv, is charged with possession of large amount of Fentanyl; conspiracy possession of large amount of Fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; conspiracy possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; distribution/possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl/Heroin mix; possession Fentanyl; 2 counts of possession of Cocaine; obstructing and hindering
- Ian Taylor, 31, of Frederick, is charged with possession of large amount of Fentanyl; conspiracy possession of large amount of Fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; conspiracy possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; distribution/possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl/Heroin mix; possession Fentanyl; 2 counts of possession of Cocaine; obstructing and hindering
These indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled. The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says an indictment is a charging document and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
