One Person Injured In Hagerstown Shooting

The victim was inside a vehicle which was struck by gunfire.

Hagerstown, Md. (KM) – One person was injured in a shooting in Hagerstown Friday night.

Police say at around 9:45 PM, officers responded to the 100 block of West Bethel Street for a report of gunshots. They found a vehicle which had been struck by gunfire, and an individual suffering from gunshot wounds. That person was stabilized and taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment. The injuries are not considered life threatening, according to police. .

Authorities say the victim was sitting in the vehicle when unknown assailants approached and fired, directly targeting the vehicle. . They fled the scene on foot. Police say the suspects are described as several young Black males wearing dark clothing.
