His mower flipped on a steep incline
Mount Airy, Md. (NS) – An elderly Mount Airy Man was killed in a lawn mower accident Wednesday night in Frederick County.
At around 8:30 p.m. June 1, Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office responded to the 5300 block of Sidney Road for the incident.
After arriving, they found Augustus Harris, 82, dead, pinned underneath an upside down zero-turn lawn mower.
Investigators say Harris was operating his mower on a steep incline when he began to slide downhill, and his mower deck got caught in the dirt.
The mower, which had an after market awning, flipped over with Harris still in his seat, trapping him inside.
